Woodstalks Pizza night

Proceeds from Winning Greek Week

The Sigma Kappa Foundation focuses its support on philanthropic endeavors and providing direct support for its Sigma Kappa sisters who are currently active and alumnae.

We hold Alzheimer’s Association close to our hearts, in which every Fall we fundraise and walk in our local park to remember those who are fighting or have fought the devastating disease. This semester we raised about $18,000 for Alzheimer’s research and exceeded what we accomplished last Fall. As a national organization, Sigma Kappa's all over the nation came together to provide the Alzheimer's Association a check for $1 million in July 2016, three years ahead of schedule! Because of this, Sigma Kappa is now a member of the Zenith Society, giving our organization a voice in deciding what research projects should be funded by the Alzheimer's Association to find a cure. It is an honor to be so closely tied and involved with the Alzheimer’s Association and we hope to be apart of it for years to come. We are striving to keep exceeding our expectations and to see a change for others fighting this disease.

This Fall semester we were also able to raise around $8,000 for Chico Cares, a campaign that will help Chico State address the full spectrum of students' basic needs, including the demand for emergency housing, food resources, and other immediate needs. Delta Iota as well as other Fraternity and Sororities on Chico State’s campus raised money contributing to this campaign. It was extremely rewarding being able to see the Greek community directly contributing to our fellow Chico State students.

We have gone above and beyond this semester which has resulted in a success! Delta Iota is on the right path to achieving even more of our goals in the future. Delta Iota has a lot to be proud of and we are fortunate to have the support of our friends, family and the community in contributing to helping others and various organizations.

Heres to another prosperous semester!
