In the Spring semester of 2016 Sigma Kappa - Delta Iota raised close to $5,000 for the Sigma Kappa Foundation, and with our $10,000 yearly goal in mind, we are on the right path for success! The Sigma Kappa Foundation focuses its support on philanthropic endeavors and providing direct support for its Sigma Kappa sisters who are currently active and alumnae. We keep our symbol, a heart, in mind for many ideas and endeavors of this sorority and we always remember that s strong heart equals a strong pulse, and a strong P.U.L.S.E. is what drives the Foundation:

Philanthropic Initiatives give support to organizations that we hold close to our hearts, such as the Maine Seacoast Mission and Alzheimer's Disease.
Unrestricted Gifts provide funds to any part of Sigma Kappa that may need it.
Leadership Development opportunities further a collegiate's experience through Leadership Consultant opportunities after college.
Sisters in Need gives financial support to a Sigma Kappa sister and her family if a natural disaster or strife should ever affect her home.
Education Opportunities award academic scholarships to qualifying collegiate members.
The Sigma Kappa Foundation illustrates a continual support to its sisters and the values they hold as they grow to become insightful and loving young women.

As a national organization, Sigma Kappa's all over the nation came together to provide the Alzheimer's Association a check for $1 million in July 2016, three years ahead of schedule! Because of this, Sigma Kappa is now a member of the Zenith Society, giving our organization a voice in deciding what research projects should be funded by the Alzheimer's Association to find a cure. This direct involvement is an honor that Sigma Kappa is proud to have and one we hope to be apart of for years to come.
